Mr. Michael D. Peacock is the President/CEO of Southwest Business Development Consultants, LLC and offers over 22 years of experience providing comprehensive business, economic, and community development services to individuals, businesses, government agencies, private industry, and American Indian Tribes throughout New Mexico and at the United States.  Mr. Peacock possesses a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Business Administration (Accounting & Business Management) from the College of Santa Fe, and currently serves as a contracted Associate Director for the Minority Business Development Agency Business Center in New Mexico. The Center has the stated mission of providing management and technical assistance to American Indian and Alaska Native and eligible minority-owned businesses focusing on securing large public and/or private contracts and financing transactions, stimulating job creation and facilitating entry to global markets.

Mr. Peacock previously served as the Program Director for the New Mexico Native American Business Development Center, and has served on numerous boards, associations, and committees throughout Indian Country including:

Mr. Peacock’s experience providing services throughout Indian Country provides him with extensive knowledge of tribal political systems, traditions, customs, and tribal laws and fosters the ability of SWBDC to deliver consulting services to its AI/NA customers in a respectful rather than exploitive manner.  SWBDC and its strategic partners share a unique passion and common vision of creating sustainable and profitable economic empowerment for Indian Tribes, and an understanding that honoring tribal value systems is an extremely important element of providing business and economic assistance on Indian Reservations.
