SWBDC Awarded 10 Chapter Feasibility Study

Southwest Business Development Consultants, LLC was recently awarded a contract by the Eastern Regional Business Development Office of the Navajo Nation Division of Economic Development to conduct a comprehensive Market and Economic Feasibility Study of Economic Development opportunities, Long-Term Strategies and reservation-wide economic development plans for ten (10) chapters/communities throughout the Navajo Nation.   The sites are the following:
1. Mexican Springs Chapter
2. Cornfields Chapter
3. Counselor Chapter
4. Nageezi Chapter
5. Lupton Chapter
6. Round Rock Chapter
7. Nazlini Chapter
8. Rough Rock Chapter
9. Prewitt/Baca Chapter
10. Thoreau Chapter
This Project is part of the Navajo Nation’s Division of Economic Development (DED) strategy to develop and promote self-sufficiency of the Navajo Nation communities.  The Project’s immediate benefits are the creation of jobs; to provide opportunities and a business friendly environment for entrepreneurs to own or expand their businesses; provide basic goods and services; provide a stable tax base; and generate revenues. These objectives will serve as a catalyst and multiplier effect for economic development and promote long-term economic well-being to enhance the quality of life on the Navajo Nation.  SWBDC, LLC will partner with Indigenous Design Studio, LLC and Stanley Consulting to develop the studies.
